The Benefits unit is comprised of staff who provide consulting, training, and administrative service to faculty, staff, retirees, and campus schools and departments in the area of health and welfare programs, including medical, dental, vision, legal, and life insurance plans, plus the UC Retirement System including UCRP, 403(b), and DCP.

The Compensation and Classification unit provides consultation and review of compensation and classification strategies. The Compensation staff are expert in salary surveys, data analysis, FLSA, reclassifications, and labor contracts. The unit also manages HR policies and procedures.

The Wellness unit assists faculty, staff, and retirees in achieving a balanced and healthy lifestyle by providing programs, health screenings, workshops and events. Provides assistance on worklife and wellness benefits including UCI Employee Assistance Program, Systemwide UC Living Well Wellness Initiative, and UC Family Care Worklife Benefit.
