Join the Cool Campus Challenge and help UCI win!
FROM NOW UNTIL DECEMBER 10, all UCI faculty, staff and students are invited to compete in the UC Cool Campus Challenge—a friendly, fun competition aimed at reducing UC’s carbon footprint and creating a culture of sustainability across campuses.
Once you sign up you will be given a variety of ways to learn more about your carbon footprint and to pledge to complete actions that have a direct impact on reducing energy use. Each week, we’ll highlight an important theme along with suggested actions (or pledges) you can take that will directly reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase awareness about climate disruption. These activities could be as simple as turning off the lights when you leave the room, or taking public transportation. Things you may already be doing!
For every action you take, you’ll earn valuable points for our campus that will enter you in a raffle to win cool, energy efficient prizes (did someone say solar-powered cell phone charger?)
