Looking for a new place to climb? Apple Valley has been developing routes! Located in the high desert near Barstow this rock is granite very similar to Joshua Tree. This is a sport climbing area with a pretty short approach so that means it's a good place for beginners to try outdoor rock climbing. Plenty of fun routes for veteran climbers too.
