If you will travel during winter break, and the travel signature date on your I-20 or DS-2019 has been expired or will be expired during your trip (the current signature on your I-20 or DS-2019 must have been signed within one year), you will need to get a travel signature from the International Center. You may come to the International Center on Tuesday or Thursday anytime between 2 - 4 pm. During this time, you will be required to provide the following items:
- Your I-20/DS-2019 Visa Document
- Travel Form
Common Questions During Winter Break
If you left the U.S. and do not have a valid travel signature on your I-20 or DS-2019 to re-enter the U.S., please follow the steps below to get a travel signature before you return to the U.S.
- Complete a Student Visa document Request form, and specify that you need a new document for Travel.
- Complete a Travel Form
- Pay for eShipGlobal express mailing (directions below)
You must e-mail the items above to internationalcenter@uci.edu. Please include the Secure Express Mail code in your email so we can mail your signed visa document to you in a safe, secure way.
The International Center will require 7 business days to process your request. You will receive an email when your document is mailed back to you.
