Sustainable Foods Fair

Join over 26 student organizations, clubs, departments and sustainable vendors for the 2017 Earth Week Sustainable Foods Fair!

Visit Gateway Plaza on Thursday April 20th to learn more about UCI's sustainable food systems. The first 100 attendees will receive a FREE reusable Starbucks cup! Other giveaways for participants include a reclaimed barnwood herb planter, tomato growing kits, reusable bamboo utensil sets, and bonsai tree growing kits! 

  • Try out Theta Psi's blender bike and make your own smoothie using pedal power!
  • Find your sustainability pathway with the Global Sustainability Resource Center: explore the campus as a living lab and grow in UCI's ever expanding sustainability "communiversity."
  • Forage with the UCI Arboretum, tasting samples of edible native and non-native plants that grow in the San Joaquin Middle Marsh Reserve.
  • Taste treats and certified sustainable snacks: coffees from Java City ecoGrounds, drinks from Naked Juice, granola bites from Bare naked, and more!
  • Overcome food insecurity by exploring expiration dates on food packaging with the SOAR Food Pantry.
