The UCI Blood Donor Center has partnered with the Angels to increase blood donations during the summer months, when shortages often occur as donations drop both locally and nationally. All blood and platelet donations go to the patients at the UC Irvine Medical Center, which transfuses over 1000 units of blood each month. The Irvine campus donor center is located in the Student Center on level 1 in room B106. The center is open year round to everyone, both inside and outside the UCI community.
Hours of operation:
Monday and Tuesday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Wednesday and Thursday: Noon - 7 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
As a sign of appreciation, everyone who donates blood will receive two Angels vouchers. Each voucher can be exchanged at the Angels box office for a free game ticket. If you’d like to donate blood but aren’t a baseball fan, we have other options to choose from. Platelet donors can receive four Angels vouchers in place of movie tickets or food gift cards.
