The host and executive producer of the acclaimed CNN series, United Shades of America with W. Kamau Bell, brings his rare brand of wit and commentary to the Irvine Barclay Theatre stage at 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. on May 22.  He will perform "The W. Kamau Bell Curve: Ending Racism in About an Hour," followed by question-and-answer dialogue, and a book signing.

This event is part of the UCI Confronting Extremism initiative, which aims to forge new dialogues and actions to support free speech, campus values, and social justice in the face of extreme narratives.  The event is co-sponsored by the Office of Inclusive Excellence, Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, The Henry Samueli School of Engineering Office of the Dean, and School of Law Office of the Dean.
