'Zot' is the Anteater victory cheer! It's also the sound that Peter the Anteater makes when he snaps out his tongue to catch his food.

The UCI Libraries will offer study spaces by appointment beginning on March 29th. Throughout the spring quarter, limited seating will be available to students in the Multimedia Resources Center and the Libraries Gateway Study Center. Students will be able to reserve specific study seats, including some private rooms and computer workstations, for three hour blocks of time in the morning and afternoon. Printing will also be available. The buildings will close mid-day to allow for extra cleaning. When available, students will be able to make study seat reservations here.
The Libraries are currently offering a wide range of services to meet your needs during COVID-19, including paging/pickup services for print books, increased access to online resources, and remote reference and digitization of Special Collections and Archives materials. We encourage you to contact your Subject Librarian for assistance if you encounter any challenges accessing the resources that you need for teaching, learning, or research.
We will also be offering three new services during spring quarter:
- A curbside drop box for returning library books accessible from East Peltason Drive near the Student Health Center
- A one-button studio in the Multimedia Resources Center that provides a simplified process for recording video presentations and podcasts
- Laptops, iPads and more will be available to borrow from the Multimedia Resources Center.
UCI has installed study tents on campus in an effort to provide students the opportunity to study outside in a shaded area. There are two tents, located at Langson Library Plaza and Humanities Hall Plaza. They are available for use from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., have nearby restrooms and wifi. Students are reminded to wear face coverings and maintain physical distance from their neighbor while in the study tent.
