It’s finally here - UC Library Search is now live! UC Library users now have access to a more robust discovery tool that allows you to conduct searches for materials across all UC campus library locations. UC Library Search has replaced Melvyl and is now the discovery tool to find and borrow materials from across all UC locations, as well as from your campus.
In addition to greater ease in finding and borrowing materials, UC Library Search enhances library services. Patrons will be able to easily borrow materials from other campuses and will have more options for borrowing and returning materials. Information about the diversity and use patterns of the UC Libraries’ collections will facilitate future decisions that are data informed, inclusive, and patron centered. It’s important to note that today’s launch is just the beginning; UC Library Search will continue to evolve, refine and integrate additional functionality.
