Lunar New Year Festival - School of Humanities

The Department of East Asian Languages & Literatures with the support of Program in Academic English/ESL, Office of Global Engagement, Humanities Language Learning Program, Center for Asian Studies, University Extension, The Writing Center, International Peer Group, & Study Abroad Center will hold the 20th annual Lunar New Year Festival on Monday, February 8, 2016.

UCI students will participate in cultural workshops with a range of activities. Chinese paper cutting, Japanese flower arrangement and Kimono wearing, Korean paper folding and Hanbok wearing, and Vietnamese fortune telling bad traditional games.

Between 12pm-1pm a variety of performances will be showcased in the Humanities Gateway Courtyard: traditional Japanese drumming by Jodaiko, traditional Chinese folk lion dancing, and a traditional Korean samulnori performance.
