The Samueli School of Engineering’s FABcamp 2019 is now open for registration!

FABcamp is an opportunity for rising 6th-9th grade students to gain hands-on experience in the field of engineering. Our goal is to expose them to the engineering design process and expand their understanding of the ways that science, mathematics and technology can be applied to solving real-world problems.

Launched in summer of 2013, FABcamp has expanded into a 3-part series that begins with engineering fundamentals and progresses on to fabrication and rapid-prototyping technologies. A brief description of each camp can be found below.

FABcamp projects are built on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) concepts and are correlated with CA Common Core Standards and the Framework for Next Generation Science Standards. Activities will emphasize 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, communication and problem solving in a collaborative environment.

Registration is now open. Current UCI faculty and staff are eligible for a $75 discount. Visit our webpage at: https://sites.uci.edu/fabcamp to secure a spot for your student.
