Tune in

The university-wide Virtual Commencement will be held on Saturday, June 12. It will begin at 9 a.m. PDT and will be broadcast on the Commencement website. Ceremony and reception streams will be viewable, no password or special access is required.

The ceremony will include remarks from Chancellor Howard Gillman, Vice Chancellor Willie Banks Jr. and UCIAA Board President Jack Toan, along with the official conferring of degrees.

School and college receptions

Individual school and college receptions will be listed on the Commencement website below the university-wide ceremony video. Each reception section will be linked to the school or college’s video stream, and begin immediately following the Virtual Ceremony.

Receptions will last between 45 to 120 minutes, depending on the number of graduates participating. All graduates who registered to participate will be recognized with their name displayed and read during the individual receptions. If graduates submitted a photo and written message, those items will be displayed as well.

For school and college receptions, Master’s candidates will be shown first in alphabetical order, with undergraduate candidates following directly behind. For Graduate Hooding, graduates will be shown in order of academic discipline starting with Arts.
