What is EDL?
The Electronic Document Library (EDL) is an online electronic repository for reports produced from campuswide systems such as Payroll (PPS). Current reports exist for live systems as well as a number of versions of history of those reports. For systems that have been replaced, such as FS, history reports are retained.

How do I quickly find a report ID that's towards the bottom of my list?
Use the locate button on the menu bar at the top (select the page icon). Type in the report ID you're looking for and then select the page icon again, located to the right of the report ID. EDL will take you to the listing of that report.
If you want to view the most recent  version, select the page icon with the most recent date. This will automatically open that report.

When viewing a report how can I find specific information (i.e. account, fund or a name)?
Use the search icon.  Select the first search icon (magnifying glass) on the menu bar at the top. Enter what you're looking for in the dialog box and select the search icon to the right of 'Find What:'. To repeat the find, select the second search icon on the toolbar.

How do I get access to EDL?
Ask your supervisor to e-mail your Departmental Security Administrator (DSA) and request access to Financial EDL and/or Payroll EDL. Click here to lookup your DSA.
If you still have questions contact the help desk.

Are there training classes for EDL?
Yes, overview training classes are scheduled in UCLC. If you need assistance contact the OIT Help Desk, (949) 824-2222.

What reports are available in EDL? Reports include:
  • FS - Financial System (Archival - FS0102D, etc)
  • PPS - Personnel/Payroll Systems (Expense Distribution – PPP530, etc.)
  • TBS - Telephone Billing System (Monthly recharges – TBS*, etc.)
How do I print a report?
To print reports, you must download the report (as a PDF), then use your PDF viewer to open the report and print.

Can I download reports to Excel?
At this point, reports are only available in PDF format. The previous option to download files as a .CSV is no longer available.

When I try to open a report, it does not open. Why?
  • Try altering your pop-up blockers so that they do not block the new window that is considered a 'pop-up'.  If you need help, please contact your computing support coordinator (CSC) within your department.
  • A second reason why this may happen could have to do with how your access was set up. Sometimes access is set too low and therefore reports cannot be viewed. To have this checked, please contact the help desk, (949) 824-2222.
The print is so small I can hardly read it. Is there a way to increase it?
Go inside a report and use the zoom function of your PDF viewer. It will resize the report to the size you choose.

Why do I not see a 'Find' box while trying to search?
Go to Internet options, clear cookies and cache, and make sure your check settings are set to view newer versions 'every visit to the page'.  We recommend users try on a second PC to see if it’s PC specific.  If the 'find' box appears on the second PC, contact your CSC.  Pop up blockers may be enabled.

Where can I find a list of closed POs?
They are displayed in the UCPO*100 online report.  This report is a fund sorted version of the UCPO*100.  There is an additional version of this report as well, UCPO*A100 which is sorted alphabetically based on vendor name.

For more information refer to the Electronic Document Library main menu.
